This is the personal website of one Alice Lim. This will hopefully in the future host my musings on a whole bunch of things, but is today mostly a biography. Thank you for visiting!
Bio
I'm a software engineer. I grew up in Indonesia, but now live and work in Singapore.
Most of my software engineering experience so far has revolved around distributed systems programming in Rust. A project I built that I'm particularly proud of is HotStuff-rs, an implementation of the HotStuff state machine replication (SMR) algorithm with a novel (to my knowledge) mechanism for effecting dynamic validator set updates.
In the future, I hope to get involved in academic research in computer science: right now, I'm interested in programming language theory, but I've only gotten started, so my interests will definitely evolve.

Beautiful software. Trans culture and trans issues. Anime. Video games. Vtubers (esp. Ceres Fauna and fallenshadow). Indonesian music. Mental health and neurodiversity. Competitive debate (former).
